A timeless vessel for lakeside living

Atop a bluff overlooking the convergence of the Pedernales River and Lake Travis, this home had been a weekend respite for a busy Houston family. After a decade, they chose to bring new life to the site they loved. The transformation of this dark and inwardly-designed home underwent an extensive renovation, reorganizing and repurposing of spaces to encourage an ease of leisure and community, while all the time connecting to the natural splendor of its surroundings.

A balance of youthfulness and restraint was our goal - creating spaces that could serve a variety of occasions. The soaring entry hall is the centerpiece of the home, serving as a dining room, a place to listen to music, or play games with friends and family. This light filled space brings the lake and views of the Hill Country to the heart of the home.

This dynamic home is at once joyful, sophisticated and glamorous with a touch of rustic. The result is a timeless vessel for lakeside life.
