Brentwood Contemporary
Functional spaces combined with moments of craft
This home was designed around the needs of a family of four, building new in an Austin neighborhood they had grown to love. Functional spaces are combined with moments of craft to create a seemingly simple building that pays homage to its context while being expressly contemporary in execution.
The form is simple – a two story compact home, with strong connections to the site. Floor-to-ceiling cabinets and delicate wood screens are used to define the living spaces, maximizing efficiency and bringing character to the interior spaces.
With its earthen tones and grounded aesthetic, the color and material palette were developed closely with the owners, resulting in a personal home that will serve the family for years to come.
